Spring 2008 Musical Production

The second full production in Commonwealth Opera’s season is a musical from the wide musical theater repertoire. Fully staged with auditioned cast and chorus, full orchestra, stage sets, costumes and theatrical lighting, the annual musical reflects a dazzling showcase of talent and audience enthusiasm.

A 1965 Broadway musical in one act—the wild tale of the “mad” knight Don Quixote as a play within a play, performed by Miguel de Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition.
